Describe the item unambiguously
Name the product, size, and the dimensional standard it is made to. For fittings also state the schedule or class; for flanges state the class, facing and bore.
- Product and type: elbow 90° LR, weld neck flange, hex bolt
- Size in NPS or DN, plus schedule, wall thickness or class
- Dimensional standard, where your specification names one
State the material
Give the material specification and grade rather than a generic description. 'Carbon steel' can mean several different specifications with different chemistry and mechanical properties.
Quantity, documentation and delivery
Quantities per line item, any documentation you need with the supply, the delivery location and your required date all affect price and lead time. Documentation and inspection requirements are confirmed at the enquiry stage for each order.
